Therapeutic Coaching®
Tension Release Exercises TRE®
Developed by Dr Alex Howard (see picture) and Anna Duschinsky, and practised at the award-winning Optimum Health Clinic (UK),
Therapeutic Coaching® integrates the latest research and elegantly blends key principles from Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), hypnotherapy, developmental psychology, life coaching, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and mindfulness. It works holistically on the cognitive, emotional, and somatic levels.
During a session, you will be asked specific tailored questions to better understand how you process experiences and store memories.
The goal is to identify unhelpful patterns, limiting beliefs, conflicting parts, or unresolved memories.
Sessions may also include techniques like EFT, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, and personalized exercises. To help you build new habits, you will be encouraged to apply your insights, tools and practices between sessions.
Each session lasts about 60 minutes and typically takes place every one or two weeks.
The minimum commitment is six sessions (6 x 60 minutes), with additional time on your own to integrate new habits and create new neural pathways.
Sessions take place online so you can join from the comfort of your home.
Potential benefits include improved emotional self-regulation, mental clarity, breaking old patterns, reduced stress, less reactivity, better decision-making, increased confidence, self-love, clearer personal boundaries, more confident communication, and more harmonious personal and professional relationships.
As the name implies, Therapeutic Coaching® blends psychotherapeutic insight with coaching.
Unlike therapy, which focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, or life coaching, which tends to be future-focused, this approach integrates cognitive, emotional, and somatic levels for a more holistic experience.

While there is no formal support between sessions, you may receive exercises to practice on your own, helping reinforce what was covered during the sessions and build new neural pathways.
Personal growth takes time and effort, and it is important to acknowledge and celebrate small wins along the way. If you’re not experiencing progress, we can adjust the approach or explore alternative strategies.
Clear communication is essential throughout the process and we will review at regular intervals. It is essential to offer grace to yourself as progress is never linear.
If you feel stuck, stressed, overwhelmed, or are seeking positive change but don’t know how to move forward, this approach may be a good fit for you.
Being ready means you’re open to self-reflection and personal growth, and willing to put in the required effort to effect change.

Therapeutic Coaching™ is not suitable for those with mental health disorders such as PTSD, complex trauma, eating disorders, addiction, or diagnosed conditions like OCD or clinical depression. It is not a replacement for psychotherapy.
Yes, I am working under supervision. This means that I regularly consult with a qualified supervisor to ensure I provide the highest level of care. This allows for additional support and guidance during the process.
